Wedding Etiquette

So going to a wedding this Friday for an old high school friend and since I'm currently single at the moment I asked a mutual old friend from high school (who didn?t get an invite but told the person I'd probobly bring her) if she would come with me. So the only other thing was to buy a gift (thank god for wedding registries) and got all that taken care of with the help of this girl picking out a couple of the items on the list for me to choose from to buy.
So anyways just wondering since the person getting married was friends with both of us in high school, but only sent me the invitation (I think with the expectation I?d bring this person), and I'm not currently involved with the girl I'm going with, do I put the name of the girl I'm going with on the card (/w the gift)?

Did she chip in?

If yes, then definitely include her name.

If no, then it is up to you. I would go ahead and include her name, because in the end it doesn't really matter.
