Hello, I'm trying to decide how to do this. I offered to design a website for somone who owns a bed and breakfast, is there some kind of web software that will allow me to have both a static type site with information about the rooms and the area, but also have a blog like section or area where the owner could easily edit por add her own stuff? For example, prices and room availability. A lot of available themes to choose from would also be handy.

ok, well I guess i'll just continue the topic here until it gets moved, or should I just create two?

But anyway, i'm looking for something closer to wordpress or typo style software.

use dreamweaver and css + tables and any number of open source blog type programs..

Easiest thing would be to setup a ncie layout for the owner, create a "what new" or "owners message" section and have them edit with dreamweaver. Assuming that you setup dreamweaver to login to the site, all they would have to do is open dreamweaver, clikc on their page on the server and change the text.
