Well im looking to purchase a new grill for my car, ive found this grill lat 1 online retailer and them only. Well thats cool because i couldnt find it anywhere else, however im not sure if this site is completely legit. Ive read no reviews on their service or quality. Had no friends order from them, and to be honest i dont like giving out my CC number to any company just because they have what i want.

Now my question is i have seen SPAM threads in the past where people will say "look at this guy trying to sell ____ and you get ____" then some poster comes along and does a "search" on the website which brings up that its a crap shoot website owned/maintained by the poster (lol).

How do you get that info? is it a simple command in dos? or somesort of lookup? i dont know where to start really i googled around a bit but found myself not knowing what to keyword.

Any help is very appreciated ... thanks in advance

Nah, what ever you can get through the Registrar info is meaningless.

Buying through credit Card has basic protection.

However it is important under situation like yours to read the polices of the Site.

If they state things like all Sale are final, or No Exchange, or similar Policies, it is better not to deal with them. The hands of the CC companies are tied if the Site have specific ?Anti Customer? policies posted on their Site.

Sorry to bump an old thread but if you're ever worried about giving your CC info to a company, you can call your credit card company and find out if they can provide you with a one-use credit card number for a web transaction.

The charge to the new number gets posted to your account, but the retailer never sees your "real" number and the one-time number becomes invalid after being charged once.

Best part is, you get the same protection against fraud as if you had used your regular CC#.
