Website/Thread to flag craigslist spammers?

It's become increasingly difficult to sell electronics and computer parts on CL because of all of the spammers that set email traps on there. For example, guys come through and post things like "Apple MacBook for $699," which totally detracts from the legitimate posts and makes them look over-priced.

So, I was wondering if there is a site where you can post CL links for people to flag as spam?

Yes, I realize this. However, things get so flooded with spammers, that you can't expect the average user to flag all of the bogus posts.

I was thinking of a place where more savvy users could post bogus links for flagging, using the built-in system in CL.

I don't see what you are getting at. How is that any different or less tedious than flagging on CL? 😕

I agree that it is tedious.

However, if you are trying to sell some items locally, it sure might help a lot to be able to clear out some of the junk postings.

can you explain your model, because i'm confused.......so a savvy user will post a link to the FS ad at this other website? wouldn't it be infinitely easier just to flag the bogus ad when he/she views it?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

OK, It would be a place for sellers to post bogus links that should be flagged. For example, I would copy and paste a few bad URL's from the CL in Baltimore, someone else would post them from the CL in Topeka, and so forth. Everyone would then flag the links that each other posted. Sort of like the ATOT effect. Am I making sense?

There are soo many bogus posts on CL that never get flagged because buyers do take the time to flag them. (Which is understandable). Hopefully, if the flagging gets to a critical level for the IP addresses of some posters, the CL staff would block them or try to block them.
