Is there a similar program that'll do the same thing for regular MP3 (not necessarily MP3Pro) files?

yes, andromeda (the same script i am using) works with mp3 files, any type. it even works with video files. here is a link to andromeda's site. there is a php and asp version available. best of all it is free to use, but the author would appreciate donations. excellent script

update on adromeda - you can configure it to work with zip, pdf and all sorts of files. nice script!!!

Loaded pretty fast, though the namelookup took a bit of time(could just be our server that was slow though, happens sometimes).
