I'm hoping someone can direct me to a better alternative.
So I bought a website (.EU) with the name of a popular tourist village on an island. All the other websites for that village/island don't have that much info and are usually a gateway for other sites.
What I really want to do with the website is fill it full of good info. Basically I want to display news, popular hotspots (nightlclubs, attractions, etc), activities, how to get there, hotels, and the history of the village and island. Secondary, I'd like to add a forum and gallery where people can discuss their vacations from there or ask questions to others.
I put something up for the time being, Joomla with Zoom gallery and SMF forum but it doesn't really seem that integrated and friendly. I'm sure it also has something to do with the current layout. I remember there was someone else on AT that had a pretty successfull travel forum that seemed like a really one piece package. Does anyone have any suggestions on web software that I could use? Hell, any other tips would be great
