Website Ripping Question

If you have a designer design and host your website, with logos you provided, some of which were edited for minor effects, and then you no longer employ that designer or his hosting, do you maintain full rights to the work he did (so that you can host it exactly as it was before) since you paid for it? [/run-on sentence]

What does this have to do with IP? Nothing as far as I can tell.

I would NOT recommend having your designer host your website.

What's your monthly budget for web hosting?

It could depend on the contract you have with the designer, but generally the site they designed for you is yours...

Intellectual Property - but that's what I thought at first too, RossMAN...Internet Protocol.

Ah ok, now it makes sense.

Why not have them design your website, give you the complete files/template ... you paid for it, it's YOURS, you own it.

Then you HOST it where you want to host it.

Fine, IP innappropriate term then. Wasn't sure what to use.

It wasn't my choice to have him host it, I'm just cleaning up the aftermath. 😱 We were getting dicked on the hosting bigtime for a simple 1-page site.

I saved the website to disk, but looks like I'm still missing a few images. Any suggestions as to how I can grab what's missing easily? It's mostly images from onmouseover commands.

OK, I've managed to rip most of the site. The question now is how do I get these images referenced in the javascript. Sample: onmouseover="MM_swapImage('index_r1_c5','','index_r1_c5_f8.jpg','index_r1_c5','','index_r1_c5_f4.jpg',1).

Can we get a FAQ on this, please? 😛
