website idea...photo related.

I acquired a website from a friend who no longer wanted to deal with it...so I copied everything over from his server onto mine and took over the domain.

I am trying to think if I should totally revamp the website, or try to build off of what is there. I was thinking of getting a smaller script, that does not make ag aller,y it just uploads, and shows you the link and allows you to link. If you sign up, it will give you a history of what you have uploaded, and allow you to delete/add.

But you can do it anonymously...Does this seem like a decent idea? Anyone willing to help me out with it? My time is spread a bit thin!

I was talking to fuzzy and he had this idea to make a site where you can just drag your pictures in, upload and you get a direct link.

I am not finding anything prebuilt/user friendly, so I figured i'd ask here!

So, basically, you upload pics, they are not organized except by the timestamp, and then you can link to those pics?

That is kind of the idea...They get a link emailed to them (if they want, this will also allow them to remove the image if they want), or they just get a direct link to the picture after uploading.

And an option to sign up, and manage all of the photos.

The ability to drag your pictures in, and create folders if you wish.

You plan on making money off of this? I don't see why you would put so much time into it without some way to compensate you for your time.

I don't plan to make money off of it..maybe throw up my web hosting banner on the bottom, but that's about it.

Not a bad idea at all if you want to use it to advertise your web hosting services. I say take the basic idea of http://www.imagebin.org/ , improve the interface and slap it up there.
