website idea but no idea how to do it

I thought up an interesting website idea last night but i have no idea how to implement it.

the good news is that there doesn't seem to be a website for this already. The domain name i thought of is taken, but is not being used for anything. it's like one of those companies that buys it and just puts stupid ads on it until they can sell it.

since someone else has the domain name, i'm sure it's not going to be cheap to get it. i could try another variation of the name though and see how that goes.

the really bad news is that i don't know how to make any detailed or complex websites, which is probably what this is going to require and i don't know anyone who could make it. i also can't afford to have someone make it and maintain it.

IMO, it would be a pretty good resource for people, especially in the current economic situation and I might even be able to make a little money off it.


It sucks to have an idea that you can't bring to life.

It doesn't have to be a good idea, he just has to be able to sell it as such. Which he probably won't be able to do either😛 (as most people can't)

Get Drupal, you'll find that whatever you want to do is most likely already implemented in a module (or can be easily adapted). The bad news is that it's written in PHP (yuck).
