Right now I have a wireless access pt. with a DMZ enabled on the IP address of the machine that I want to host the website. I can't seem to access it from the outside though (works inside ntwk).

And for IP address, do I put the external IP (it's a static IP) or the internal?

Thanks.

your hosting a site on a wireless connection?.. Also IIRC you need to forward port 80..but I could be wrong...

Virtual APs? (Newbie at wireless :))

No, you can forward ALL ports or certain ports to computers on a LAN. (Only one DMZ at a time.)

Yes this is wireless.

You need to forward port 80 to your web server ip in your router. Another thing you might need to check is home use boardband company they block on port 80. If it is the case then you need to chage your web service to other port, ex. port 8080. Also, you need to check you router and make sure the "Block WAN Request" is not Enable. This not a good idea to enable DZM which means you open all ports for someone easy to hack in.

Hosting=DMZ+Wireless

I hope that the only thing you have on the server is the public version of the Bible (you know the G-dly Book).

Lol, basically. :)

The computer is outside a domain and I use tight pswds as well. As for the wireless -- I live in the country. My wireless network range couldn't HOPE to leave my property (lol).

Can somebody tell me what IP address I put down in IIS for this website? Internal or external?

Thanks.
