Website hosting transfer questions...

I'm a newbie at doing websites, and I did one for a family friend's small business last summer. Now he wants to move the hosting from the current company to his residential Earthlink account, so I told him I'll look into it.

When I registered his domain, I put in my name as the Admin (Although I'm there on and off) and a usa.net email address. I want to change those things since I won't be able to handle the admin stuff later and usa.net has stopped offering free email. So, how would I be able to change those things?

Also, if I were to move his hosting to his Earthlink account, how would I go about doing that? I mean, when they type in the address, it would go to his earthlink host?

Thanks

Dan

1.) contact registrar and find out how to update records. their website should have something about it.
2.) contact earthlink and find out how you can get your domain put on their dns servers.

I don't think earthlink will do that - your friend's residential account webspace is under earthlink's domain, and I would be very surprised if they would point a business URL to their "personal" service!
