I am hoping ATOT can give me some advice on what to look towards here.

I run audio for the Virginia Tech chapter of InterVarsity. Recently I have been recording the talks at large group worship each week. They are recorded and mixed in Audacity or Ardour (Whichever I decide to open that day). After I edit them I export them as a 128Kb/s MP3 file.

Each file comes out, after editing, to about 30mb. These talks occur once a week every week during the semester.

We have a website that is hosted by the VT Webhosting service for campus organizations. This; however, probably does not allow us enough space to store roughly 360mb of audio.

Does anyone have a good solution for a place to store these files?

Thanks,
-Kevin

Is there nothing out there for music like there is for pictures? For instance, Picasa and Yahoo Pictures both host all the pictures you can upload. Is there no site out there that does a similar thing for music with a nice interface and everything?

Well free services would definitely be preferable in this instance ;)

I'll host the files for free, if you want. I have Dreamhost account that's currently not being used much (at all, really). I have more than enough space, and enough bandwidth.

I suggest using 64Kbps mp3, btw, if it's pure talk. Quality difference is acceptable for most people (music at that bitrate, though, is pretty bad).

Maybe just use Youtube? You can get a free video editor like Virtualdub and put up a picture of your school logo for the length of the video, merge in audio track and upload. They have plenty of bandwidth, and you can link the "videos" directly on your site.

I'd go this route, too. If anything, just asking around can't hurt anything.

With any other hosting solution, the big issue would more likely be bandwidth instead of hosting space, unless you aren't expecting too many people to listen to these.
