ok I have heard 2 very funny stories the past couple days while playing COD4. My name on cod4 is Soulfly. (mostly play free for all) First was from a nol* (not nel*) saying he has a amd CPU running at 8ghz. Yet he doesn't know what cpu it is haha. The second is from leanna or madmannick saying he has a q6600 running @ 9ghz on water. He didn't even know what cpu-z was haha. I have found ripping.org just wondering if there are other sites. I would like to give them the site so they can spew fud to someone else in a more realistic manor.

Q6600 2.4 x 4 = 9.6GHz. You can't really blame them. :p If you were me though, you can brag that you have a 15.5GHz (or just flat out 16GHz) CPU.

yeah if I put my E2140 under liquid nitrogen, it'll probably got up to 10Ghz for about 1 ms before smoking up. But it's a OC record :]

website for world record overclocks?
whats the most reputible site?

Thing is that a few sites out there keep databases of their own "records." To be a "real" WR, there should be only one, plus there should be standards to which they are measured.

BTW, I can set my E3110 to 6.3GHz (9x700). :D

(of course it won't POST at that speed  )

Oh wait, I'm measuring it wrong! There's two cores, so I'm at 12.6GHz.

FTW!

Or not.

You say FET's plural...so how many are in your ring-oscillator operating at 30GHz? 4 FET's at only 100W total, not bad!

Well operating in FSK mode neither rating is really static. ;)

dont make me bust my dual sossoman rig on you guys.

you know you gotta love a multi processor machine which draws less then 100W off the wall loaded!
