My boss often receives and orders flowers and has said that that's the best website she's ordered from.

pretty well.....it's like a flower shop box, bit it has cardboard insides to keep it form moving around. i have to admit though...taking it out of the box is time consuming (10 -15 min).

1800flowers.com has always worked great for me. They come in a nice box with the kind of packaging I'd expect, I got a glass vase with them once and it was packaged very well.

I used 1800flowers.com with success, but then I moved to a local florist as he's a friend of mine. THEN, I bought a webstore that carries flowers too, so I get a kickback whenever I order flowers from myself...:p

I know this isn't the hot deals forum, but I received a code for 1800flowers.com in my inbox and I don't need to use it.

Promo code: 4MOM

It looks like it gives you free delivery for 5/7, 5/8 and 5/9 only. It looks like you have to order a special set of flowers. I can't post a direct link.

FTD works as well... although proflowers has a mother's day special with promo code: PRO. (advertised on the radio, so it is public)

I used all 3, pro, 800 and ftd, pro last the longest.. 800 has crappie flowers that dies after 2-3 days... ftd is good too but too pricy..

Tip: if you're willing to do the work of cutting the ends of the stems off, sticking them in vases, etc., you can buy from a wholesaler and get a lot of flowers for what the florists pay.

As far as ordering online and having them shipped to someone, proflowers is great. If you're ordering online and want them shipped to yourself, you can get much much better prices.

i prefer calling up a local florist. the idea of flowers arriving in a box sort of turns me off.
