website dilemma

Lifer
i have my own website, my domain name is my own name.com. this site pretty much just being used as a photo gallery atm.

i was thinking about creating another website for writing my own short stories. i had a domain name i wanted and would fit perfectly but it was already taken.

now i'm wondering if i should try to find another name or just make a sub-domain from my current domain?

i can't really think of a better domain name that i like that isn't already taken.

can you change a domain name to something else, considering that its an available name obviously?
You can have the old domain redirect to the new one, and ask the hosting ompany to show your content under the new domain name. It's routinely done.

but i can't actually have them change myname.com to myinitials.com? i would have to purchase myinitials.com separately?

Correct

Subdomain... keep everything in one spot.

Easy way to copyright your work as well, since it's still on your personal name.com 🙂
