Website design question

depends how you want to operate... but usually, yes.

Sometimes people allow X amount of updates for free with their initial asking price. Some work by hour... no matter if it's in test or production.

EDIT>>> Something basic like a few changed characters I'll change without "adding time" on their bill.

Thanks, will probably give them a few a month, doubt they'll have any though. I'm hosting it and thats where the money easy money is anyway would rather keep them happy there😀

I typically offer 1 year of those types of changes (refered to as miniscule in the contract)
stuff like phone number, address, main contact email, etc.

In my 7 years of doing it, i think i've made maybe 6 of those miniscule changes.
Businesses don't change their phone number or address very often.

I even stretch and make some less miniscule changes for good clients - like adding award graphics every year when they win the cities "Best Of" list.

I am with jntdesign on this. I have done a couple sites for a few companies and its very rare they change their phone/fax numbers. Make sure you clearly state the period of time for these services in the contract so they won't call you in 4 years from now and ask you to do something. Good luck.
