Website critics are welcome

My sister's company just launched their new website and my sister hates it.

I don't like it very much myself, but I'm asking for a kind review from the Off-Topic jury about the layout (specially the Produtos) page.

The language on the website is portuguese so here's a crash course for you internet gurus:

empresa = company
contactos = contacts
produtos = products
destaque = on focus

Not as good as many corporate sites out there, but much better than many personal and even professional sites.

P.S. I used to do quality assurance and perform usability studies on user interfaces and Web sites.

It's alright... reloading flash for each page is kinda annoying though


edit: by alright, i mean nothing makes it stand out, but it's not ugly either.

I find that whole "reload every page w/ a little animation" thing incredibly irritating, but that's just me. The "Produtos" page is ok, but the whole file-tree/explorer layout (while logical) is somewhat boring.

Well, like someone else said, the "splash screen" used while the page is loading is unconventional and somewhat annoying
The tree structure for product listing is very nice, and I've seen a similar type of interface used on many manufacturing sites.

If possible, you should provide one large PDF file which would combine all the products, to allow someone to download it and read "at home".

It's boring? It's not supposed to be entertaining. This is a product listing, not a zoo A tree structure is a nice way to logicaly lay out and organize various items. It's also nice because it doesn't collapse last-viewed tree node when you expand a new node.
