Hello,
I have a question, I am new to this so I figured I will ask around.
I am trying to decide which way would be the best way to go with a webserver.
Here is what I would like to be able to do on the webserver:
Forums
Databasing
Live Chat
Flash
File cataloged for downloads

I have been reading about ColdFusion, IIS5, Apaches etc.
If someone could shine some light on this, which would be easier to set up
And maybe some sites that would compare webservers?
Thank you

Any of those webservers will do, but I would go with Apache on Linux if you are on a budget. Setting up Apache isn't that difficult either.

Apche or Coldfusion are my picks. Only go with Coldfusion is your site is .cfm. Other wise Apache and mySQL can do the job.

I'll throw my vote in for apache + mysql + php on a linux server. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck and the userbase out there is huge for this setup, you'll never be left with an unanswered configuration problem.
