WebObjects: *was* $50,000 - now *FREE* (Hot? I'd think so...)

For all the Mac geeks out there in AT-land, if you're a member of ADC (Apple Developer's Connection, which you can join for FREE), then you can download Apple's XCode 2.1 for FREE, which includes the previously-expensive WebObjects, a suite of powerful tools to develop web-based applications.

Of course, you'll need a Mac to develop on, but keep in mind that XCode 2.1 also includes the Universal Binary support to create apps for not only current PowerPC based Macs, but also the future Intel-based Macs.

Enjoy!

I downloaded the XCode 2.1 dmg 1.5 weeks ago when it was mentioned on /. It's a 750MB download. It's pretty nice... one checkbox and you can build binaries that support both PPC and x86. Too bad I don't have an x86 version of OS X. 🙁
