Here is the deal:
We want to use phpcow- a newsportal site for our online newspaper. Phpcow offers webhosting at 15 a month (179 a year, but a $50 off coupon puts it at $129 for the year) with 5 GB disk space and 300 GB bandwith. It may NOT be the best deal, but my site is for an online high school newspaper, we won't even be getting 2,500 visits in a month probably. The great thing about them hosting it is I don't have to install anything, they can upgrade it for me, I don't have to touch any of the innerworkings, and in terms of support, they can help me very easily.
But, they also can install the software on an existing webhost i have. I don;t have one currently, but could get one and then they can install it on there, which is almost just as easy.
Looking for a web host, and thought I would come here for some reliable opinions on the matter. There seems to be tons of sites out there that are either offering way too much and then don't work (lunarpages.com), or at least that is what people say...
Just trying to get a real answer from someone, without them being from a webhoster themselves...
and if you think the hosting through phpcow is a wise decision, let me know, because to be honest sounds like the easiest, and the price is a little high, but just fine. The support team has already shown itself to be awesome to me. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated!
