My weber kettle grill had trouble. The lid handle broke off from the lid. It was welded on and I guess the 8 years of high heat finally broke the welds. Knowing they had a great guarantee I called them up, expecting nothing.
Weber said "well, it's not registered so I don't know what model it is. Send me some pictures and we'll send you out a new lid."
Pictures sent, e-mail the next day saying the new lid has shipped. Received lid and it's much nicer, heat shield, no welds (guess they figured out that was a bad idea).
I own a regular weber smokey mountain and the big one as well. I was really surprised at how awesome the support and guarantee is.
