webcam security software

hello anandtech,

does anybody know of any motion-activated webcam software that can capture frames and save jpg files either locally or on a remote ftp site?

has to be discrete- either requires a password to open the window or can "disappear" until some hotkey is pressed.

any tips? i've found this software "pryme" that does most of what i want to, except has a big tray icon which i don't want.

I suggest the old-fashioned method: a trip wire just underneath the desk and a bucket of sulphuric acid overhead. Then just search the hospitals to find out who your intruder was.
