webcam digicam combo?

I am looking at buying a new webcam, mainly for videoconferencing, but having a built in still image digicam is nice, I was thinking of the Logitech 510 (I have the older version of it) but the finepix is a much better digital camera, the question is how is it as a webcam. These don?t have to be the only choices, I will look at anything that works well as a webcam and a digicam and costs $300 or less, though I would like to stay closer to 200. Thanks.

Hey there,

What's your price range ?? What OS do you have ??
I got the Creative PC-Cam 600. It's a 1.3 megapixel camera that has
a CCD sensor for picture taking. It has great webcam capabilities at 30 FPS.
It's obviously USB and lots of pictures at top quality
(like I think around 30 something at top quality). Includes a flash as well.
Actually my fiance uses it to talk to her friend and takes pictures of her
students 🙂 GO FIG.
Here's a web page of different pics taken with different cams. (Not all cameras have pics)
The creative PC-CAM 600 is listed and Logitech 510 is listed. Logitech was my second choice
only because the Digicam pics looked a little sharper...GO FIG.
The creative cam can also record Audio or Video and I believe the Logitech cam can also. 🙂

BTW PC-CAM 600 is $150 retail but you can get it a little cheaper I THINK online

LOGITECH CLICKSMART 510
This one is also $150 I think or $100..but I think it's really $150. 🙂

Hope this info helps 🙂

thanks
OS Windows XP
price range, could go to 300 maybe even $400 if there was a signifcant advantage, though buy.com has the logitech for $80 which means the difference would have to be big for me to spend $400 (and it would have to be at least as good as a webcam, I know for still images $400 can get me a great camera if it can get a great combo I might be sold).
