Webcam capture with Dell SX2210T

I'm using a Dell SX2210T monitor (built-in webcam) with a Dell Studio XPS 435T running Windows 8.1. Problem is that I can't seem to get the webcam to work properly.

For example, using Skype video I can see the other party but they can't see me. Skyping them on another computer works fine, so it's a problem at my end.

I ran a Dell diagnostic package and during the process I was able to view the screen from the 2210 webcam, so the camera itself works. (The light is on when I'm trying to Skype, too.) But I got no diagnostics for the camera.

I searched for updated drivers but Windows informs me that my drivers are up to date.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, Blain. First thing I checked was the model number which turns out to be an SX2210B, not "T". My bad.

Then I went to the Dell site and checked for a driver update. I found one that was updated earlier this year, but it was only for Win versions through 7. What the heck, I decided to give it a try anyway and downloaded it.

When I tried to install it on the Win 8.1 machine I got a notice that the already installed driver was more current. Ergo, no installation of the new driver.

So, at the moment, as I've demonstrated that the camera actually works, I'm wondering if there is a problem with Win 8.1?
