Does anyone know if its possible to stream mlb.tv to an xbox 360 for playback on a tv? I've done a little research and can't seem to find much help on the subject.
No, the only interaction your 360 has w/ your PC is to read from its hard drive. If you have saved videos, music, etc it can play them but it doesn't have any access to your browser.
Without knowing too much about tversity, i was under the impression it could handle streaming web video by creating a video file or xml file with the stream's url
I'm not sure about that... but since that's really a software question you might have better luck asking in the software area or changing the title and OP to say "using tversity".
I know tversity can play streaming audio as i've done that before... not sure on video though. If you can find the actual path of the video file online, you might be able to paste a link into tversity. If it's a flash streaming video... then forget it.
I haven't signed back up this year yet, but the video streams through wmp. I believe the issue is that it requires a login, and I'm not sure how that would work as the username and password wouldn't appear in the link to paste into tversity.
From what I've read on the forums (Tversity) it is possible. Try adding the video feed address into Tversity's internet or rss/podcast section. If that doesn't work, browse here: http://forums.tversity.com/viewforum.php?f=5
