Web sites becoming inaccessible

Over the past two months several websites I visited regularly will not load on one of my computers. The other has no problems (yet).
VR Zone, OC Workbench have not loaded over the past months, now starting over the weekend, HardOCP will not load.
No settings have been changed, no new hardware, no new software installations!
I have cleared cache, deleted all cookies, reloaded IE to no avail.

I'm at a loss as to where to begin? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Soyo 5EMA+ motherboard
AMD K6-III 400

TB Montego II soundcard
Voodoo3 2000 AGP

IE 5.1

can you access these sites by thier IP rather than domain name? check the file called HOSTS in your windows dir and see fi anything is there, its safe to rename this file then try and see fi things work again, what this file does is cache the hostname to ip so that your browser doesnt waste time looking for the IP, also check your DNS settings
