I'm on the Runnersworld forums and have Googled this with no luck. I'm tired of running around my neighborhood, it's not flat, it's not a a length I like, and I think my knees would love me more if they could run on some dirt. Also it's kind of ghetto, not hella bad, but bad enough to where there always seems to be a loose Rottie's and/or Pit Bull wondering around. While being chased by a Rottie could undoubtedly help get my pace way down. I doubt I could outrun one for more than 20 seconds, and I'd end up getting mauled to death. I do own a gun, but running with a Desert Eagle would be effing hard, if not impossible. I also don't have a CCW, and it's next to impossible to get one issued in my town anywho. One person elsewhere on the interwebs said the college has a great track, and suggested I go sign up for some classes and I'd have a track to run on. A novel idea, but seems a bit uhhh I dunno, overkill? Another suggested I drive around looking at the schools, I looked at all the local ones and they're locked down tight. His other recommendation was to "just hop the fence!" Not a terrible idea I suppose, but they all seem to have random security guard patrols. And the last thing I need is to have some wanna be cop harassing me. And knowing my luck, with me running at night in my hoodie I'd end up getting shot.

So, I've pretty much gotten over the hope of finding an actual track to run on, and would just like to find a decent route. My Googling's t3h suxs so I'm coming up empty. I live in Riverside CA, and my town just doesn't seem very runner friendly at all. :(

Inb4 Indoor Threadmill suggestion?

I get on the treadmill at my gym a few times a week, I actually like it a but. But there's something about running outdoors. I think both have their good and bad points. I'd like to run outside maybe 50% of the time.
