Web Site Hosting

Hi AT 🙂

I'm an IT admin for a small/medium-sized company, and I don't have much experience with web hosting overall, I've used networksolutions and godaddy for the misc previous site hosting needs that I've had over the years. Now, I'm in a situation where an audio content company needs a site with 2tb or more of storage (for an audio library), and probably 20tb/mo of data transfer.

Are there any reasonable companies out there that can handle this? When searching, I keep getting these spam-looking sites that say '$6.95/mo', and so on, which doesn't seem believable at all.

I'd pay a visit to http://www.webhostingtalk.com/

You have a pretty sizable requirement so take your time, look around, get some quotes and most of all, research prospective providers.

Oh yeah, also keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Expect to pay quite a bit for that service. The HDD requirement shouldn't be that much (however it will cost some) but you're asking for quite a bit of bandwidth for your data transfer. That's going to cost.

Agreed. WHT is one of the best resources out there.

Also, given your bandwidth and HDD requirements, look into Amazon S3.
