I have two computers, one with the problem is running XP home and the other is running XP pro. They are both connected to a router, but the one with the problem is connected directly while the other is wireless.

On the one with the problem I try and go to schwab.com and it acts like it loads the page but all I see is white with a title in the top of the window.

On the other schwab.com loads fine.

What is strange is that taking a link to any page on schwab.com except the "home page" of schwab works fine.

Here is my tracert on the problem computer.

any suggestions... it's very weird and it's not spyware or anything like that, I've ran plenty of scans.

Open Notepad and use Notepad to open your HOSTS file (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS). Any entries in there besides 127.0.0.1 localhost ?
