This is the best forum I could find for this question, which is kind of basic. I'm interested in starting a Web site, so I was looking at some domain registrars and Web hosting services. Usually, they come together. What I'm wondering, though, is why GoDaddy seems to be so much cheaper and more feature-filled than any other hosting service!

Seriously, it doesn't seem to make sense to me why anyone would use any other service that charges twice the amount of money or more for less hosting space and features, like Network Solutions or whatever. I mean, what am I missing here? Why does GoDaddy seem so much better than all the others? Do they have some flaw that I'm not aware of?

Thanks.

GoDaddy has been accused of poor service... both their hosting and customer service. My thoughts are that when a company services millions of customers, there's going to be a few with bad experiences.

I have really cheap hosting... $10 per year for 200 MB of space and 4 GB per month bandwidth. I get e-mail, MySQL databases, etc. etc. Nothing special, but for what I use it for it's perfect.
