Avoid them at all costs if what you're using it for matters at all in the slightest way possible.

I don't really have a recommendation for Windows hosting unfortunately, but don't go with Godaddy/1&1/etc.

I use hostgator at the moment, but I'm not sure if they support what you need. I didn't need it so I didn't look for it.

I have one that is $6/year and it's really good so far, I forget the link, Ross showed me it.

Yes, a year.

CookieHost.com. You can get it for as little as $5 per year. I signed up with them to move my wife's store there. I'm in the process and there have been some errors but the CookieHost support has been very responsive.

I will backup this statement saying that cookiehost is pretty good! This is where I run my website. There support is quite good.

Linux web host suggestions:

$5/yr CookieHost.com

The following two are reseller web host accounts which allow you to host multiple domains with one web hosting account. Every domain receives it's own cPanel, Fantastico, POP3/IMAP e-mail, FTP, MySQL, PHP, etc. You don't have to "resell" anything, how you use your resources are up to you.

$6/yr Indyamail.com - threadfeed.com is hosted there.

CAD $16.50/yr HostingPuppy.com - LenovoForums.com is hosted there.

For Windows/ASP/ColdFusion I would recommend JodoHost.com.

I need something that could offer a virtual dedicated or a full dedicated server solution as we grow.

I've only used their reseller hosting and I was very impressed with the speed, uptime and support. Ultimately I cancelled it because I only needed Linux and H Sphere was a little too powerful for my needs.

They have a good reputation on various hosting forums.

Thanks again. I guess it down to jodohost and Cartika. Jodohost seems to offer more for less, but from what I hear Cartika has a more solid reputation.

I would agree with that statement.

Have you searched WHT for reviews of Cartika?

Cartika so far has been very good for me. The owner is a mod on a very reputable web developer forum. I have one website on their Linux servers right now. Never had any problems with them and always had good support response time. They are Canadian though, so your bank may charge you for an international payment. It used to be a good deal, but now with the exchange rate change I'm getting screwed. Only thing I dislike about them in Hsphere.

Yeah - I haven't found any negatives on Cartika. I'm leaning towards Jodohost - I guess I can always try it out. You think I should get Plesk? - I've used h-sphere in the past.

I have a couple sites hosted by HostingPuppy and I have not had any major issues with them so far. Most of my problems have been promptly fixed by their Tech Support within 24 hours. Their service is really great for what you pay. I would highly recommend HP if you just need a small website and you don't want to spend much money.

Which account?

IIRC they have an awesome resellers account which offers Linux/Windows with H Sphere for around $17 per mo.
