web hosting dilemma

So i've been trying for years to find a great web host that doesn't have bad reviews or 20-30% downtimes. I was going to buy a plan from Doteasy, but they charge $80? I was a bit unclear about their deceptive pricing, in which they say they charge $3.98 per month, then why don't they mention that a 1 year plan is the actual requirement? All web hosts do this as far as I can tell. I thought there were ones that don't require a yearly committment and charge $2-10 per month or whatever the deal was.

I look into Bluehost, but there are some people that say it's a scam, has 20-30% downtimes, or is very untrustworthy. I've had to buy/renew/transfer domains twice per year the last few years now, so it's costing me $15-25 per transfer.

I used Mad Genius for about 8 months when I needed it. Worked great and Vivi was really helpful when I needed him.

So does this mean that there are two payment options rather than a yearly committment?

Monthly Price $3.99
Annual Price $43.89

I think i found it, "1 Month Price - $2.50 USD" means no annual contract correct?

I paid on a monthly basis with no issues when I canceled. I was paying $3.99 a month for it according to the old invoices.

EDIT. Now I see what you're talking about. I had the beginner plan the $2.50 is their budget plan. I assume you would be allowed to pay monthly just the same as I did with the beginner plan.

If you're in doubt put in a presales ticket and ask.

I'm using Rochen and have been hugely satisfied with them for about a year now. The performance is excellent, uptime is excellent, and the service is fast and personal.

How much are you willing to pay? Dreamhost has been excellent for me.

I hate promoting my company but we have 99.9% uptime if you're interested, and our top tier plan is only $40 (prices start at $10/month). PM me if interested

i was happy with dreamhost when i used them a few years back. Looked at them just now and its $9 a month for the cheapest plan... a little pricy for just the basics.

I'm with MadGenius right now. ViviTheMage of these forums runs it.

It's been good to me so far. Minimal downtime.

 Thanks Crono :).

Yeah, we haven't had a lot of downtime ... just maintenance, which generally last 5-10 minutes, if we're down at all.

You can see our uptime for our site here :

not our entire network, but you get the jists!

correct, you have the option of monthly, or yearly. You would not be charged for both.
