need to find someone to help me build a website. this person has to be relatively creative and somewhat artsy. i can build the traditional/prof looking ones too, but my lack of creativity is why i need to hire. how much will it cost for someone to build me a basic template (flash might be used). this template will then be manipulated for all the corresponding pages. where should i look for the desiginers? and how much should i expect to pay. if you have anyone to recommend pls send me contact info and sample work. thanks.

It varies, the more experience the more it costs typically. I charge out at about $65/hr, but I know I am on the upper end. But that isn't far off from what you might pay. For creative and artsy, you really need to find a designer you like. Flash can be great, or horrible if the person designing has no clue. There are 2 routes to look for a designer. 1. Find some professional design agencies (phone book, web search etc.) or 2. Post on boards like AT, Craigslist etc. and ask for examples. Then have em send samples. It is usually a great idea if they are in teh same city, as it is nice to chat face to face with someone about a project. Just my opinion as a designer, I really like to hash things out with them. So, take that all into perspective. Hope that helps!

yeah, no templates. i need it custom made. waldo...u have any samples u can send over?

here is one website that i like:

http://www.curriedrice.com/JT/main.html (click on anything u can find to click on)
http://www.curriedrice.com

most links on the site are pretty good. in talks with them but they seem pretty flaky at the moment.

That has got to be one of the ugliest, most nasty and useless sites I have ever looked at... Should cost ya around $-50/hr...

i guess everybody's taste is different, but did you click on the links for the second link? but i'm a real big fan of the first site i listed. what don't you like about it?

I clicked on a bunch of things... It reminds me of like an episode of Ren and Stimpy, it's just ugly and W E I R D!!!

I think you are looking for more flash based programming based on your links. I don't specialize in total flash sites, as much as I work with flash widgets, and css, but some sites that I have worked on recently

www.tigerspike.com
and www.spikemobile.com

I usually am big into 3D images, and people looking for 3D imagery in their sites.
