Any suggestions for a friend of mine that needs to design a website. Must be pretty user friendly. I'm a hardware, o.s. kinda guy, he's a musician. I can do a little hand coding in html if needed but from what the project he envisions sounds like it's out of my limited experience. Hopefully the answer is'nt the full Dreamweaver suite which I hear is very very expensive.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Well if you want to stream music....

I find it easy to have windows media server installed on the server. Then use Windows Media Encoder 9 to encode the audio for steaming. One major benifit of this is that almost every Windows user has Windows Media Player installed compared to the Real Time Player. I'm also sure real player has their own software package.

Dreamweaver is $399. If that's too expensive for you, there's no way in hell you're going to get this project done. I'm not saying that you'll get it done if you buy Dreamweaver, but finding server space, bandwidth, and appropriate server-side software for streaming media is probably going to end up costing $400, and that's before you've even done any work.
