A have a couple of animated gifs I'd like to scale down and add as emoticons to my forum. They all, however, have that annoying white background, where i'd like them all to have transparent backgrounds. Normally, I'd throw it into Photoshop and remove the white backgroudn, but this doesn't work when they are animated.

Anyone know of a tool/way for me to do this?

- wrong forum
- use imageready and it allows you to modify frame by frame... use gif89a (the common .gif) format for transparency. PNG also works, but it's not as "safe" for most browsers.

just google for tutorials...

here's one... at the bottom is a downloads section... play with the sample and you'll get a better idea.
If you meant you don't know how to implement transparency, you need to put each frame onto a new --> transparent background... then use the eraser tool to erase the visible white colors you don't want.

Open in image ready, save as PSD, open in photoshop, remove backgrounds on all layers (each layer = frame), open back up in image ready, recompile.

That'll do it for you if you are only used to PS.

As said before: WRONG FORUM.
