web cam video chat/conference setup help needed

I just got a webcam - and I want to set it up so that I can video chat with friends.

What is the easiest/best/free-est chat program to use?

I've got broadband - as do my friends.

I was looking at yahoo, but their site wasn't all too clear - will messenger work?

yahoo messenger will work. i actually prefer it over msn.

Any chat programs would work, Yahoo, MSN, Skype, etc... Just make sure you look for the video option of the program (usually in Options) and enable it.

Cool - now if the camera is quality, does the video/audio actually look decent while chatting?
