I want to record a conference using a webcam.

What's the best software to accomplish something like this?
I tried VLC, and the Microsoft Expressions but it didn't quite work right.

want to record it possible at 720P at decent frame rate
webcam i'm using is Logitech BCC950
 
OBS is exactly a great screen recording tool. Personally speaking, I prefer to recommend one tool I often use and I think you can handle it much easier. You can navigate to ShowMore (http://showmore.com/) webpage and launch the application directly. And choose to record webcam and it just works fine. Or you can make a picture-in-picture by adding your web camera into screen recording, which is handy for video call and gameplay.
