When I was a kid in NJ - we used to have a something made by, I guess, Weaver, called "Weaver's Chicken Roll." Since I was so young, I'm not really sure what was in it but I'm pretty sure it was a like the particle board of lunch meats. Some kind of pressed chicken product...sort of like a Bologna I would guess.

Anyone recognize this thing? Can't find it for the life of me.

When I worked in a deli about 15 years ago we sold chicken roll.. I'm pretty sure you can still get it. If I recall it was a half moon shaped log that came in a metal can with a key to open it.

Just bought some of the Weaver Chicken Roll at a local stores deli counter. Don't waste your money on this crap. It's not even close to the original stuff. It seems Tyson thinks we're stupid and don't remember what is was like. Tyson bought the brand several years ago but dropped the chicken roll. After many people asking them to bring it back; they agreed, but it is one of their own concoctions. It is basically the same pre packaged Tyson chicken deli meat( in the red package) you find in the deli section at your local Walmart. The texture is like an Oscar Meyer deli meat and not that chopped/formed with binder like we remember. It is also highly seasoned and kind of salty. Don't waste your money, you will be disappointed.
