Come on! I know it ain't 78F here. What's the point of having a personal weather station if you're going to set it up incorrectly?

Not necessarily. Think about in inside corner on the north side of a house as an example.

Or in my case under the patio in our backyard. Granted it's nothing high tech, it's one of those oversized thermometers with the old fasioned needle n such. But it gives you an idea of what the tempereature is in the shade.

You are always supposed to put a thermometer in the shade to get an accurate reading.

It is pretty cool you can buy your own personal weather station for <$100 and hook it up to the net and share your results. One of the truly valuable services on the net.

Yep. If you're interested in a new hobby, check out hobbyboards, you can build your own quality instrument 1-wire weather system.
