Pretty close to the truth there. Although there is still some uncertainty that is is going to rain or not. But generally yes, a 50% chance of rain means it will rain, but it'll only hit about 50% of the targetted area. If you assume the viewers are evenly spread out, then 50% of the viewing population will get the rain.Originally posted by: hellman69
If I'm not mistaken, when they give a percentage, it means it is going to rain. The percentage is just the percent of the area that will get rain.
