Sure as shit, snow.

Think I will get a head start on it now, so it won't be too bad in the middle of the day.

Looks pretty, too.

I started when there was about 2 inches of accumulation. by the time I got done it was 3 inches or more, but my drive was mostly clear, the car was mostly clean, and I got my section of the sidewalk done, plus an extra couple feet.
My neighbors will probably wonder why and how.
Insomnia can be kinda fun.

Checked again. SAME WEBSITE!
SAME ZIP CODE!

Now the bastards are predicting 7 inches of snow over the next 8 hours.

I already stocked up food and water.

This weather is getting to be bullshit. My RAM spent two days sitting in a FedEx warehouse in Newark and has been sitting in Memphis getting sprayed with deicing fluid and being runover by guys who never drove snowplows in their lives since Tuesday. There ain't no snow above the clouds; get those damn planes off the ground; I need more RAM, dang it!

BTW, sunny, high of 62F today, highs in the 70s for the weekend, and into the 80s next week. :p

Why would anybody use inAccuweather when they have the National Weather Service?
I don't use AccuWeather, I go for Weather Underground, but I dislike the National Weather Service. I get most of my weather information on my phone. And the NWS desktop-only website is really terrible on phones. Sure, the data is the same, but it just isn't in a remotely user friendly format at all.

The feds will not let them compete with commercial. The real issue is the comercial weather providers will keep you drooling. National Weather Service will call off a storm and the commercials will for hours keep you tuning in for more add revenue. What they do should be criminal.

Yep. I had the misfortune of being on the Outer Banks with an incoming storm and no internet so I had to rely on The Weather Channel for information. Holy F', it took forty five minutes for them to divulge what I could normally get from the NWS in one paragraph.

Separately, the built -in weather app on the iPhone always picks the highest highs, lowest lows, windiest winds, and rainiest rains from the NWS forecasts, sensationalizing the weather forecast.

Saw snow on the ground this morning and the first thing that came to mind was taking the day off to go hiking because snow scares away the casuals and I don't have to worry about putting the mask on every 5 minutes when people pass by on the trail.
Fogged up glasses suck.

I got 4wd and real snow tires, most people around here dont.
I'm tempted to go for a brief trip into town or down the interstate just to sight-see.

I LOVE my snow tires.
Unfortunately...they are currently sitting in my garage.

Would go out for a drive in my plain old FWD sedan to hang out with the snow plows and watch all the SUVs and Subaru's slide all over the place.

It's definitely turning into another fucking winter wonderland here in the NYC area. Last I heard yesterday was 5-9" and yes, this was on Accuweather.

I have the Today weather app sourcing data from Dark Sky and also the Accuweather app just to have two sources of info.

Weird.

Looks like for a while today I was sitting between two big snow storms.
Right now its just ice, all over my yard, driveway, and street. Good thing I got my good and water set up.
