Weather is fascinating

About 85 miles east of Hatteras island. We were having rather nasty weather, the winds picked up and there it was. About 4 nm away and with a very tight funnel. The bottom was quite broad where it was sucking water. I shudder at the thought of one spinning right overhead of us.

We joked around about it sucking up stingrays and them landing in the pools or hot tubs too!

I wonder if a diver could get sucked up and throw in the air from a water spout. That would be fun.

Considering the winds were going about 180 mph in the vortex I'd say so. The ascent may be fun but the descent and subsquent plunge into bluewater would suck. Wetsuits don't have parachutes! :Q
