Hopefully anyway. Tax season, coming in Saturday without a shave or haircut, so I put on my favorite hat. The one I got for free when joining the NRA.

Come into the office, get a couple of "nice hat" comments. Then, a senior manager comes by to your cubicle, see the hat and goes, "Hey, NRA, all right." Then, he brings out his fist for a tap.

Its going to be a good day.

I don't know anyone who supports the NRA. Do you live in Texas or something?

If you work for a gun retailer or manufacturer, I think wearing the NRA hat would obviously help. Otherwise, it's just a personal thing :p

I live in one of the hearts of evil. California, Sacramento to be exact. And no, I don't actually think the NRA will help me at all, aside from personal relationships with other coworkers.

The time I received 4 cases of MRE's didn't help me appear like a "normal" Californian. Of course, it helps to be well-liked before the crazy comes out.

EDIT: Sacramento office of an east coast based public accounting firm. The company has a monthly "review" newsletter about people in the office. We're thinking about joining some IPSC or USPSA leagues and maybe submitting it as news if I do well. Its fun to stir the pot.

Is it unusual for you to go into work without a haircut? I don't get mine cut every day. ;)

The other day I saw a yellow VW new Beetle with a NRA sticker on it. Identify crisis? :p

I don't know why anyone would NOT support an organization that seeks to protect your constitutional rights.

NRA
ACLU

That's what I was thinking, too. :)

"Hey, you're awesome man!"

Yes, yes it does. I remember casually mentioning that I was going to go out to the range one day at work and I had a co-worker say something to the effect of, "You own a gun? But you're normal!" I wonder what they would have thought of me if they knew I owned a gun before they got to know me professionally.

I moved up here to go to Davis and kind of stuck around. I'm trying to convince the fiance to come with me if I transfer to Texas, but its not going to happen. Unfortunately, she found a state job and now has great job security. I need to get out of California. :( That, or get licensed as a private detective...

EDIT: Not deloitte. Can't make it too easy to find me. :D

Not true. Sacramento smells worse than any place I've been in the midwest.

I don't think you've been to Iowa yet then.

Oh well, it was just a guess since I drive by their office daily.
