Wearing a kilt

As I browse this site I'm strongly tempted to order a workmans kilt 🙂 Even in this college town though I know it would get ALOT of negative comments...I'm tempted anyway though. Anyone else have a kilt?

Ummm dude you can only wear a kilt if you carry around a friggin claymore sword with you...

How about a screwdriver? Or a piece of cat5? They'd be much more useful at work....although some days the sword would be too..... 😀

Kilts are badass, but only under certain conditions:

1) you can track your heritage to scotland or ireland as mentioned earlier
2) you can't be a skinny little punk, just doesn't work
3) you can kick the ass of anyone dumb enough to make fun of you for wearing a kilt

LOL!

Hmm... I don't think I would wear one, no.. but I don't see them as girlish or anything silly like that.

Considering my ancestors came to the US during the Potato Famine and there is a river, city and castle bearing the same last name I have, I'm entitled. If I could only remember which tartan my pops said we wear. 😕

Then is wouldn't be a kilt, now would it...:frown:

I'm a woman, and irish, and I htink kilts are cool. If you wore it everyday, then I might think you were a little weird, but now and then, and especially St. Pattys day, go for it!

Just buy some damn cargo pants.

A $175 'workmans' kilt? jesus christ. i remember a few weeks ago someone was getting flamed for wanting to spend 70 bucks on jeans.

makes me think of two phrases..

'theres a sucker born every minute'
and
'a fool and his money are soon parted'

Kilts are ok at a scottish festival or something or playing the bagpipes at a get together, but otherwise you look like the biggest flamer in the world. Don't get one. Not even if it's free. I think to some people (like me) it would seem like you either have a mental disorder or are desperate for attention 😉

Did they ever explain what that guy on the screensavers was doing wearing that ugly green 'cargo' kilt?
