Wearable long lasting recorder

I'm looking for a wearable video recorder that can record for several hours of video at once. I'd like it to have a remote/cable for quick and easy on and off that I can carry. I do not need nor want it to be hidden as it is for a family video project. I want to be able to wear it throughout a day and if possible push a remote I carry to turn it on and off when I want to record what's in front of me. I need it to hold several hours of video at a time which can then be transferred at the end of the day.

Does anyone know if they make something with these features?

Thank you!
Nancy

Sounds like a GoPro might suit your needs.

http://gopro.com/

They have various versions ranging in price from cheap (like $150) to somewhat expensive (like $500) and with some pretty stellar features.

Sure, it's square, but you can get head-mount rigs for it, or you can put it on a lanyard around your neck.

it's what lots of action videographers use for remotes that are strapped to downhill skiiers or skydivers or skateboarders, etc.
