Weak signal strength - D-Link DIR-655 Router

I currently have a D-Link DIR-655 Router and across the house the signal barely gets picked up and drops sometimes. I thought that I would get new antennas for it to increase the strength. I was looking at this one

but I noticed that it doesn't say it's compatible with N. If I were to switch to this antenna would the N capability no longer work? Also does anyone know what the current dBi on the stock antennas are? Any other recommendations for antennas?

Check with d-link
maybe they can help you.

Your unit has three antennas and maybe there could be a problem with replacing them with different antennas. (all antennas will have to match each other)

One quick thought.
Make sure all the antennas are vertical and can you move the router to a higer position or to another location?
Many times the location of the router can affect the wifi signal.

Definitely check positioning and make sure the base of the antennae are tight - loose connections are a PITA with WiFi units.

Antennae position is important because "omnidirectional" doesn't mean "spherical" in terms of signal propagation.
