Question Weak Signal at Back of House

Bought a new place, it's 2400 sq ft. The wireless signal is much weaker at the back of the house.
Cable internet @ 400 Mbps with Spectrum
Technicolor ET2251 modem
Archer C9 AC1900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router

What do I need to boost speeds on other side of house?

if your not getting interference from your neighbors then your router could just be getting blocked by your walls. best things to do is to try and locate your router in the central area of the house not off to one end. if you cant do that or put more cables in a thing that worked for me was a wireless net extender or a powerline adapter with a wireless access point.

All antenna have a radiation pattern, use a signal strength app to figure out which direction will put out more signal and aim that side towards the back.

You could also replace one omnidirectional antenna with directional.

You need/have to lay an Ethernet wire to relative open space in about 60% of the distance from the Archer. Get an additional Wireless Router and use it as Access Point.

make sure that both Wireless source are in relatively open space and and are sitting relative high so that the signals are not blocked.

There is No one medicine that resolve all Medical conditions.

Don't blindly jump in with your money out.
Get a decent free wifi signal strength app, map out your house/property, and walk it in a grid-like pattern and record signal strength.
Also, check to see how congested your wifi (2, 5g) is, see if your wifi is trying to stick to a channel range that everyone else is also trying to use, etc.

If you can relocate your router to a more central location, preferable raised, you'd probably be fine, however network cables are rarely where you need them...

It is almost always adviseable to KISS, and a decent 50-75' Cat 6 cable under the house, around the basement or attic and drop it where you need it, IF you can, and want a relatively stable, long-term, cheap solution. Just add another Archer or whatever router at that end, and a decent POE Injector at Router1's location if you want ($3-5 eBay).

Alternatively, jump into the Mesh mess with a couple hundred dollars and then find out the 5ghz backhaul doesn't work nearly as well as the original 2.4ghz wifi..... then curse and try Powerline, and maybe it works.
