Weak pixels?

Either way they are only really noticeable if I am looking for them. I can't see them out of the corner of my eye while looking around online. While gaming they can't be seen if I tried. I can live with them, I am just curious if they might get worse or maybe better over time? As long as they don't cluster up and go dead/stuck they won't be real noticeable.

I don't think they will "spread". This is a physical ding in the panel AFAIK (mistake at the factory), not a transistor gone bad.

do you think buy.com would consider this as a defective unit or would it be a waste of time and shipping? Or should I not bother? Their policy claims that if its defective they will reimburse shipping costs.

Hmm, I believe Mura defects would also cause the LCD to be deemed defective, but I'm not sure. It's probably a waste of time if you never notice them. In fact, you might end up with something worse. There's always the option of getting a refund for that panel-restocking fee, and then going for another but I'm not sure if that would be worth it to you either.

I might just hang on to it since it would be a pain to ship this off and then them not consider it defective. Not to mention your right I could end up with something worse(dead/stuck pixels or even DOA). Hopefully if it gets worse Acer will RMA it, although I'm not sure how good their CS is.
