We still have $900 for advertising. Next wave - your suggestions?

OK guys - you barfed up the scratch.... give us more to work with.

Banner ads, click throughs, pop-ups whatever.

Let's have some more suggestions of where we can draw new blood from.
Think about sites that appeal to stats and overclockers...

[edit]here's where our ad currently is:

Active Hardware

CPU Reviews is pretty pricey... 468x60 banner for $1,250 (50,000) displays.
I'm negotiating for a 25,000 price.

Linux online is $25 per 1000 displays on a rotating basis throughout the site.
dnet advertises here btw...

how is the ad set up right now on that site, if you are paying for a certain amount of displays then i would recommend that you remove the link so we don't waste money so we can see our own banner.

Fingers, I was wondering about that. 🙂

DanC, take combatsim.com off the list if you haven't already. It's a pay site now.

What about Planet Unreal? I imagine most of the hits they get are from people with pretty decent systems. Don't know how technically inclined that readership is though...

Storagereview might attract a more hardware knowledgable crowd.

AthlonOC might also be a good way to give those overclockers a chance to show off. 🙂

Hey Dan, here's an idea. Issue a press release. If we can get some air time maybe on TechTV on the Screensavers or TechTV News for free, it might help.

I think the DPC's taking the top spot is big news and deserves a press release. It could be of a down but not defeated nature. Or a call to arms.

How about a campaign where Anandtechers call in and mass email the media?

Or even better yet, maybe someone (Russ) gets his own show on TechTV. He can call it "The Head Geek."

You should try tech-review. I heard that they are desperate for any type of advertising money. maybe we can work a great deal.
