We should immediately prevent all international aid agencies from aiding the Palestinians.

Without international aid they would start to starve in about a month, or the Israelis would be forced to step in and take on some of the duties of an occupying power which they have been relieved of by the UN and the Red Cross.

It would spur both sides to negotiate.

Exactly. By feeding/sheltering/clothing the Palestinians the international community is allowing occupation lite for Israel. If Israel had to do what the US is doing in Iraq, they would be a bit more eager to ome to a political solution.

Starve them now.

Exactly. Time to stop supplying them with weapons, at the least. Seems Israel is actually in violation of some U.N. Resolutions by not withdrawing from the Palestinians lands.

Either way, God seems to have left it up to us mortals to resolve to conflict. Cutting of the Palestinians from thier food source would do so.

One day, there was a man walking along the Beach, and God spoke to him.
God: "You have honored me in your life as I have instructed. Because of your devotion to me, I will Grant you one wish.
Man: "Ok God, how about a bridge from here to Hawaii so I can drive there and relax whenever I wish.
God: "Im suprised and dissapointed in your wish. For a man living a holy Christian life, I would have expected something less selfish and material. Make a different wish.
Man: "Ok God, how about this one. I wish for peace in the Middle East. To have the Israelis and Palestinians coexist, respecting each others religous beliefs and customs, and treat each other as they themselves would like to be treated."
God: "How many lanes would you like on that bridge? Two or Four?"

Why not mention the fact that the Palestinians are also in violation of many UN resolutions, most notably the ones which forbid the murder of innocent civilians? Besides, much of the UN is a joke anyway. Look who's in charge of human rights?

A Charade of Bullies Feigning Decency

"WASHINGTON--While the international community was distracted by accusations of human rights violations in the West Bank, an outrage with global repercussions recently unfolded at the annual session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. Some of the world's most brutal dictatorships are making a mockery of the world's highest human rights body. How tainted is today's commission? Just compare its membership against the ranking of democracies published annually by independent, nonprofit Freedom House, based in New York. Of the commission's 53 member nations, 29, or 55 percent, are rated only partly free or not free by Freedom House, meaning that they have little or no respect for basic civil liberties or political rights."

I don't really agree with your statement. However, I do think it's very interesting that the Middle East is the home of three major religions (2 of which are the largesst in the world), and it's been a major source of the fuel that has driven the economies and military machines of the developed world. Such a relatively small area of the world has forever shaped the world.

You do not see any problem with starving people?

You don't see any problem with an escalating cycle of violence sponsered by the continued aid of the international community?

israel makes their own weapons for the most part. it would be almost sad to see a UN force get it's butt kicked by the IDF, fo course your counting on the UN to actually DO something...

No one is stating that the UN should directly oppose Israelm and the UN does do quite a lot around the world.

The majority of Israels small arms are US made, the IAF is entirely US and French combat aircraft(alebit with a lot if Israeli avionics, and missiles), the Israeli navy is US and German made. They just discontinued thier domestic tank program because it was too expensive...I don't think that your statment that the majority of thier weapons are indigeously made holds up.
